However, as organic material, premium hides breathe, absorb ambient moisture, and change color with exposure to sunlight and natural hand oils. Understanding how to feed, clean, and store your leather items ensures they develop a gorgeous, uniquely personal vintage patina.

1. Avoid Excess Moisture & Liquids

Full-grain leather is naturally porous. In the tropical, high-humidity climate of Singapore, guarding your bag from sudden rain is vital. If your bag becomes wet, gently pat it dry immediately with an uncolored, highly absorbent microfiber cloth. Never use high-heat hair dryers or place the item near heaters, as extreme thermal shock will dehydrate the leather fiber, leading to permanent cracking.

2. Hydrate Wisely (Organic Conditioning)

Just like skin, luxury leather requires occasional moisturizing to maintain structural flexibility. We advise treating your Wyatt bags with high-grade organic beeswax or natural lanolin-based conditioners once every four months. Apply a tiny dot to a clean dry cloth, rubbing in gentle circular motions. Allow it to air-cure for two hours, then buff the surface gently with a horsehair brush.
